1. Teaching Objectives:

To improve Students reading skills by studying section B; To respond and cooperate with classmates willingly; ? To participate actively;
To read sentences and texts with proper intonation; ? To write smoothly and legibly.
2.Time Allotment:
Section A (3 periods): stnd
1---2 period: Pre-reading activities ( theme-related questions for warming up);
While-reading activities (cultural notes, useful words and expressions,
difficult sentences).

Post-reading activities (-prehension questions; exercises). Section B(1period): th
4 periods: Practice of the reading skill (finding out word meanings);
Teacher checks on Students’ home reading by asking questions based on the
passage;
Teacher explains some difficult sentences.
3.Teaching Procedures:
Section A Learning a Foreign Language Detailed Study of Text A Pre-reading
1. Background information
Online learning, a form of distance education, refers to learning and other supportive resources that are available through a networked -puter. With the development of the Internet, online learning often takes place on the Internet. In an online lesson, the -puter displays material in response to a learner’s request. The -puter asks the learner for more information and presents appropriate material based on the learner’s input.
2. Understand the major details of the text 1)What made the author’s English learning in junior middle school very successful? The kind and patient teacher and her positive method of praising all students often.
2) What is basic to online English learning?
Much time, -mitment and discipline to keep up with the flow of the course. 3)What interested the author most about English? He could -municate with many more people than before.
