Study Strategies at College

Hello My dear fellow students,

Welcome to join us to be a proud member of Nanjing University. I am Liming, chairman of the Student Union. Nowadays, a growing number of students come to understand the importance and significance of study. Some students, however, may find it difficult to adapt to studying in college. So today, I’d like to talk about some study strategies you can take advantage of at college.

First thing’s first, you’d better cultivate a fine study habit. Work out a practical study plan, observe it, record how you carry it out and mend it according to your practice. Then try to hold it on and develop it into your study habit. Besides, find your perfect learning place where you can concentrate. It can be a desk in the library or a chair in the classroom but not the bed in your dormitory. Make your place comfortable but not that “luxurious”--- take a cup of tea or coffee but you don’t have to

bring all your snacks---after all, you come to study not for leisure.

Last but not least, develop your self-learning and collaborative-learning ability. It is critical and crucial to your college study and even all-life learning.

I believe the above-mention strategies could be useful if they are conducted in right way. Wish you enjoy your fruitful study life at college. Thank you.
