Unit 3 How do you get to school?
Ⅰ.单元教材分析
本单元的中心话题是“transportation”,它与学生的日常生活紧密联系在一起的,因为生活中离不开“行”,因此本单元就是学习描述人们日常出行方式,学习一般现在时,一个生活中离不开的时态。 Section A :听说为主,感受语言,通过听和看图来确定或描述人物的出行方式,重点掌握和熟练应用 How do you get to school? How long does it take? How far is it from your home to school?及其答语等句型。
Section B的教学是在已有基础上展开的,重视读写,设置了要求运用所学语言完成的各种任务,使学生能够对已经学过的目标句型运用自如。
Self-check是课后自我表现检测,对本单元所学词汇的检测,添加生词,创设一段问路的生活情景,最后在Just for fun小幽默中轻松愉快地结束本单元。
Ⅱ.语言知识目标
掌握有关交通的词汇,如take the subway/train, ride the bicycle, by bus/boat, transportation, bus stop, train station,
kilometer, mile, river以及其他一些词汇。 掌握由How引导的特殊疑问句及其答句: How do you get to school? I ride my bike. How long does it take? It takes about … minutes.
How far is it from your home to school? It’s … miles.
Ⅲ.语言技能目标
听 说:
学会谈论交通工具和距离;
学会合理安排行程,并合理选用交通工具。 读 写:
学会设计实践调查报告中的问题,并提出解决问题的简单方案.
Ⅳ.文化意识
了解东西方国家出行方式的不同,以及不同的交通规则, 加深对交通知识的了解。
Ⅴ.情感态度目标
不同的出行目的可以选择不同的交通工具.不同交通工具带来不同的心灵感受,让学生懂得从环保这一角度出发,了解交通工具给环境带来的影响.
Ⅵ.教学重点难点
教学重点:
掌握有关交通方面的词汇,如take the subway,by bus等.
掌握相应的句型,如How do you get to school? How long does it take? How far is it from …to…?等. 教学难点:
如何区别和准确运用How long 和第一单元出现的How often引导的特殊疑问句.
Ⅶ.学情分析
经过一年多的学习,学生已经掌握一定的基础知识,对一般现在时的用法比较熟练,再加上与生活密切相关的话题,学生学起来就会觉得轻松容易.
Ⅷ.学习策略
要求学生采用自主学习的方式,能根据需要进行有目的预习;
通过小组讨论,采访,调查等多种形式,确立在用中学,在做中学的思想。
