基数词的构成法

一、数词的定义

数词是用来表示事物的数目和顺序的词。数词分为基数词和序数词两种。

表示\多少\的词叫做基数词。表示\第几\的词叫做序数词。

二、基数词

表示\多少\，即表示数目大小的词叫做基数词。，下面是最基本的基数词，其他数目都有这些基数词构成： 1～10 1 one 2 two 3 three 4 four

11～19 11 eleven 12 twelve 13 thirteen 14 fourteen

20～90

20 twenty 30 thirty 40 forty

100～十亿 100 a hundred 1, 000 a thousand 1, 000, 000 a million 1, 000, 000,000 a billion

三、基数词的构成法

1. 21～99的表示法

先说\几十\，再说\几\，中间要加连字符\。

21：twenty-one

98：ninety-eight

2. 101~999的表示法

先说\几百\，后加\，再加\末两位数\，或\末位数\。

101：one hundred and one

310：three hundred and ten

524：five hundred and twenty-four

注意：这里的hundred不能加复数后缀\。

3. 1000以上数的表示法

从个位数算起，每三位加一个分节号\，\，用这个方法把数目分作若干段，再一段段的念；第一个\，\前为thousand；第二个分节号\，\前为 million；第三个分节号\，\前为billion。

注意：这里的thousand, million, billion的后面不能加复数后缀\。

3,004：three thousand and four

8,975：eight thousand, nine hundred and seventy-five

254,400：two hundred and fifty-four thousand and four hundred

5,540,000：five million, five hundred and forty thousand

1,200,000,000：one billion and two hundred million

30,000,000,000：thirty billion

用英语表达时，分节号的地方可以仍用\，\表示，也可用\表示。

基数词的用法

一、基数词的句法功能

基数词具有形容词的语法特征又有名词的语法特征，在句子中可以当定语、主语、宾语、表语和

同位语。

1. 作定语

Three thousand people watched the game. 三万人观看了球赛。

2. 作主语

Three of them are girls and four are boys. 他们中三个是女孩，四个是男孩。

Two plus three is five. 二加三等于五。

3. 作宾语或作介宾

How many burgers do you want? -- I want five, please. 你要几个汉堡包？--我要五个。

She's a mother of three. 她是一个有三个孩子的母亲。

He's a child of six. 他是个六岁的孩子。

The plane takes off at 2:30. 飞机在2:30 起飞。
