Write these phrases on the blackboard . 2.Ask : What can we do to save water ? Write down these phrases on the blackboard . 3.Ask : What can we do to save power? Ask them to discuss. Step2 Presentation 1.Say : The Class1, Grade 8 students are going to give a presentation on how to go green .Let’s read Millie’s notes . Ask : (1) What can we do to save water ? (2)What can we do to save power? (3)What can we do to reduce pollution ? (4)What else can we do to live a green life ? 2. Ask them to complete part B and check the answers . 3. Now it’s your turn to give a presentation on how to go green .Discuss this in groups of four and write down your notes first . 2.Give them some introductions : (1)可就环保的某一方面， 如：保护野生动物，保护热带雨林，减少垃，减少大气污染等，谈谈自己的想法，并从为何要采取保护措施，采取何种保护措施等角度展开讨论。 (2)演讲稿应内容详实，语言生动，要能使听众对其中宣传的活动产生兴趣。 3.Provide some pictures for them and ask them to write their own passages . 4.Ask some of them to show their writing . Say : Now you have finished your own script .Work in pairs .Read each other’s articles and check them carefully . Sample writing The Earth is in trouble !We need to take steps to protect the environment . Recycling is a great way to save energy ,space and money .It also means cleaner air and water . Many things can be recycled , such as glass , paper , plastic , old clothes and shoes . However , we must remember that recycling is not the only way to protect the environment .For example, We can save water by reusing it if possible. It is important for us to take our own shopping bags to the supermarket, use reusable bottles for drinks and put our lunch in a reusable box.
