Lesson 7:What's Your Project about?

【Teaching Aims】

Knowledge goals:

1. Master the words: project, interest, still, anywhere, joke,places of interest, talk about, make a joke, work on.

2. Mater the imoortant structures —What’s your project about? —My project is about…. I will talk about…. Ability goal :

1. Cultivate students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. 2. Can inttroduce their projects in English. Emotion goal:

Learn about differences between Chinese culture and western culture. 【Important Points】

1. Learn to use structures: — What’s your project about? — My project is about…. 【Difficult Points】

Learn to use simple past tense: was

主语+ be

+ 表语.

were

主语+V-ed(动词的过去式) +其它.

【Teaching Procedures】 Step1: Revision(about 2 min)

Review some of the key concepts and information of Unit 1.

【设计思路】:复习第一单元的重难点,巩固所学,形成知识链接。 Step 2 Lead in (about 2 min)

Teacher shows a picture of place of interest, and let students say something they know about that.

【设计思路】:展示名胜古迹的图片,了解学生的知识贮备,提起学生对此话题的兴趣。 Step 3: Aims presentation

Show the aims to students and make them know about the aims. Step4:Learn the new words

1. Show pictures to learn new words. At the same time make a sentence with each word. 2. Read the words to partners and show in the class

【设计思路】:以图片带单词的形式学习单词,在情景中识记单词,并掌握单词的用法,提高学单词的效率. Step5:Listening

Listen to the dialogues and write true(T) or false(F). 1. Danny slept for three full days. ( ) 2. Jenny’s project is about Macro Polo. ( )

3. Jenny and Danny will go home and work on their projects. ( ) Step6: Reading

Teacher let students read the text and answer the following questions: (1) How was Jenny’s trip?

(2) What’s Jenny’s project about?

(3) What’s Danny’s project about?

(4) What is Silk Road about?

Step7: Practice

1.Let a group of students read the conversation, and others read after them. 2.Let another group of students to analyze the important points. 3.Fill in the blanks on Page 19.

4.Work in pairs ,introduce their own trip to partners, and talk about their projects.

【设计思路】:由学生领读和分析重要词汇并重点讲解一般过去时和一般将来时的用法,然后让学生在黑板上列举出重要句型

What’s your project about?/ My project is about….

I will talk about….

以及讲解feel作为感官动词的用法,让学生举例练习。接着让学生两人一组互相介绍一次旅行,并用以上句型来练习询问要做的课题。最后完成课后练习。 Step 8: Summary

1. Let some students sum up the contents they have learnt. They are expected to sum up the key words, phrases and sentence patterns. They should sum up when and how to use Simple Past Tense

Step9: Homework

Homework: Write down the conversation which about a place of interest and draw a picture of it.

【设计思路】:让学生来总结本节课的内容,有助于检验学生的听课效果,锻炼他们的归纳总结能力。让学生写下本节课所做的关于某个名胜古迹的对话并简单画下来,可以帮助其更好地巩固今天所学的内容并提高了学习兴趣。 【Blackboard Design】
