On Over-packaging

Nowadays manufacturers pay more attention to the package or wrapping of products to attract consumers’ eyes. These commodities with splendid appearance do appeal to a lot of consumers and sell well in the market. But on the other hand;over packaging does lead to many undeniable problems.

Firstly;the materials used in packaging;such as paper;rubber;plastic;are important industrial materials that have a wide use in our daily life. So that those materials should not be used lavishly in packaging. Secondly;over packaging also generates a lot of garbage which is not degradable. It is reported that B0 percent of our annual garbage comes from excessive wrapping. Thirdly;over packaging has also cultivated an unhealthy consumption habit and promoted harmful tendencies. As far as I am concerned;the most important function of a product is its practicability rather than its luxurious packaging. Therefore;I suggest the government tighten supervision on commodity packaging and take measures to encourage light-packaging of commodities.
