Step 3 Listening

1. Listen to the tape and finish part A1. 2. Check the answers.

3. Listen to the instructions and complete part A2. 4. Listen again and draw the route on the map. Step 4 Language points 1. Cross the bridge.

= Go / Walk across the bridge. 2. Take the second turning on the right. = Turn right at the second turning. 3. Walk past the house. = Pass the house.

4. Walk along a small path next to the river. 沿着河边的小路走。 这里的next to the river修饰path, 做后置定语。 Step 5. Speak up

1. Listen and summary 指路的常用表达方式

Go/Walk straight on, and you’ll find / see the… Walk along the road/street/bridge.

To the north/south/west/east of …, you’ll find… Turn left/right, you’ll find…

North-east/South-west of … there’s … Cross/Go across the bridge, and you’ll see… Cross the bridge and turn right. Take the second turning on the right.

2. Read aloud the conversation then Work in pairs to ask and answer the way. Use the conversation as a model 3. Make their own dialogue. Step 6. More practice Step 7. Homework

1. Remember the new words and the language points in this lesson. 2. Recite the conversation in speak-up. 3. Translate the following sentences. 1) 走过桥，右拐进入一个公园。

2) 沿着靠近河边的一条小路走，你就能看见右手边有一座房子。 3) 一直走，你将会看见左边的警察局。 4) 穿过田野，你会看见前面有棵大树。

5) 第三个路口右拐，过桥。你就可以看见花园大厦。
