The United States has only a little over 200 years since its independence.Christopher Columbus,an Italian explorer,discovered the America in 1492,In 1620,a group of 132 Puritans from British sailed for Virginia aboard by the ship \permanent settlers in America.At first,there is only 13 states which had been the 13 English-American colonies.Over a long period of times,America expanded enormously in territory,,Now it has 50 states and some other territories
There are only 2 large-scale wars took place in America mainland,one is the the War of Independence in 1775,another is the Civil War in 1861.
But the battlefield of both World WarⅠand World WarⅡare far from America mainland,especially the World WarⅡ make U.S.to become the No.1 super power in the world.
