Step 1: Creating the Wireframe Geometry

Load the part called CATGSD_F_Phone_Step1_start.CATPartfrom the ''Companion'' and save the part in the Students directory.

1. You are going to extract the elements that will be necessary to complete the wireframe geometry:

? Double-click on the Extract icon

? Select the elements to be extracted (two pink edges and the yellow face) :

? Click Cancel to close the Extract dialog box.

2. You are going to use these extracted elements to create the wireframe geometry:

? Click on the Parallel Curve icon .

?

Select the shortest pink extracted curve as element to offset, and the yellow face as support:

?

Click OK to confirm.
