教学内容:

译林《小学英语》五年级(下)Unit 8 Birthdays Story time 教材分析:

本单元围绕过生日这一话题,通过Miss Li、Su Hai 和Mike对话谈论他们的生日日期以及如何过生日,意在让学生初步感知英语中序数词的使用方法以及日期的表达方式,并对生日当天的庆祝活动进行讨论和分享,同时简单渗透中西方文化中不同的生日风俗习惯。 学情分析:

学生在上一课Chinese festivals通过学习中国的几个传统节日,学习了表达节日所在月份,以及描述人们在不同节日里的常见活动和庆祝方式.而且在五年级上册Unit 2 (A new student)中已经学过first、second、third等序数词,对于本节课中新的序数词的学习和理解,以及讨论和表达过生日的活动语料方面有一定的帮助。

教学目标:

1. 能在语境中朗读、初步理解和运用单词birthday,April,game,eleventh, eighth. 2. 能通过阅读文本,观察图片,在对话语境中初步感知序数词eighth/eleventh等的用法,初步了解英语中日期的表达方法。

3. 能通过听录音、看动画,模仿跟读等方法,初步理解课文对话的主要内容,并能运用所学表述文中人物的过生日活动,对比体验感知中西方人过生日的不同方式。 教学重点

1. 单词birthday,April,game,eleventh, eighth的读音。

2. 初步运用When’s your birthday...? 及其回答It’s on...体会如何用序数词正确表达日期。 3. 在情境中用What do you do on your birthday?及其回答I usually...来讨论和表达如何过生日。 教学难点:

1. 单词birthday,eleventh, eighth的正确发音。

2. 序数词的构成及其如何用它们来正确表达日期。 教学准备:希沃5,多媒体课件,板贴,人物头像。

T: Good morning, boys and girls. Just now, we watched a cartoon. Do you like it? What is it about? (利用希沃5中的视频载入功能,直接播放卡通歌曲,在孩子观看过程中,利用刮开蒙层功能,在动画屏幕上刮出问题:What is it about?既神秘,又高效。) S1: Birthday.

T: yes, it is about birthday. (直接导出课题,电子板书呈现。) 2. Look and circle

T: Do you like birthdays?Why?/What do you do on your birthdays? S1:...S2:....

(利用希沃5板中板功能,随堂记录学生回答的关键词句。)

T:You got the date of their birthdays, but do you know their birthday activities? What do Su Hai and Su Yang do on their birthday? Please open your books and read the text on page 78, and try to fill in the blanks with these words. Who can come here and have a try?

(在解读课文78页,处理苏海和苏阳的生日活动时,将任务设计成先阅读,后填空,再对话。利用希沃5课堂活动中的选词填空功能,将任务抛给学生,学生趣味拖拽选词的过程中,同时检验了对课文的理解,而后的检查答案更是高效而简洁,又避免了普通课件直接呈现答案的朴素。)
