单词

1.influence

讲:n.&vt.影响;作用;势力;影响;对??有作用 短语:have (an) influence on/upon/over...对??有影响 influence sb.to do sth.影响(使)某人去做某事 例:Environment is a great influence on character. 环境对性格有很大的影响。

She became interested in American culture through his influence. 由于他的影响,她对美国文化产生了兴趣。 What influenced you to do it? 你受了什么影响去做那件事? 链接·提示

表示“对??有影响”还可以用have...effect on sth.。

句型

1.对not until...的强调

讲:请观察下面教材原句:

It was not until 250 years later that they formed a single state. 直到250年后他们才组成了单一的政权。

本句话为强调句型结构,其句型结构为It+be+被强调部分+that+其余部分。 此处强调时间状语not until...(直到??时候才??),注意not until要放在一起使用。这句话的陈述语序为They didn’t form a single state until 250 years later. 另外,not until的时间状语位于句首时,主句要使用倒装语序。上句话还可以说成Not until 250 years later did they form a single state.

例:It was not until yesterday that I met my old friend. 直到昨天我才遇到我的老朋友。
