农村学生为何冷落涉农专业

【摘要】当今农村职业学校的涉农专业招生不景气，学生冷落涉农专业的原因是什么呢？笔者认为原因是由于农村农民的收入偏低；可利用的土地资源少；打工族较稳定的收入的吸引以及学校缺乏师资、农场造成的教学质量不高，对学生没有吸引力造成的。要改变这一现状学校必须在大力宣传国家扶持政策的同时创办示范性学农基地，大力发展高效农业以吸引学生和家长，同时国家应在资金和政策上给予扶持，让学生及家长看到学习该专业前途和希望，才能有更多的学生报读涉农专业。

随着国家对“三农”的重视，职业学校中涉农专业也得到了政府的大力扶持，凡学生就读职业学校涉农专业，不仅可享受每年1500元的生活补助，而且还可以免交学费，体现了国家大力发展农业生产的决心。在这样的形势下，职中的涉农专业招生应该红火。可是现实又是怎样的呢?以我校为例:我校1995年以前以开办涉农专业为主，当时为社会培养了不少农村专业技术人才。但随着社会的发展，涉农专业

招生逐渐萎缩，最后不得不停止涉农专业的招生。（不仅是中等职业学校的涉农专业招生出现这种局面，就连高等学校中涉农专业的招生也不容乐观，某些大学农学院每年的招生缺额较多，只好降分录取就说明了涉农专业招生困难）。在国家出台免费政策扶持、支助涉农专业后，我校于2009年恢复涉农专业招生，虽然我们做了最大的努力，但招生还是不尽人意。与其他专业相比较，涉农专业还是受到学生冷落。据多方信息反映，这不是某一学校的个别现象，而是农村职业学校的普遍现象。究竟是什么原因使农民的孩子冷落涉农专业呢？笔者认为有以下几方面的原因：

1、由于我省农村的农民大多数文化水平都不高、农业生产技术落后，农民种植、养殖科技含量不高，收入偏低，导致农村学生及家长对涉农专业学习的认识不够。很多家长认为：当农民用得着读那么多书吗？我不读书不是照样能搞农业生产？使很多家长不支持其小孩就读涉农专业。 2、农村可利用的土地资源少，农民缺乏发展资金，哪怕就是送小孩来职中学习农业生产技术，回家后面对家里那一亩三分地，你又能做出多大规模？创出多大业绩？产生多少效益呢？虽然现在政府提倡土地流转承包，但由于农业种植、养殖的成本逐年增高，体力劳动强度大，农产品价格不稳，风险高等因素，就连学生家长都没兴趣发展农业生产，弃农经商，或到经济发达地区务工，他又怎么能支持其子女
