教学设计

一、Teaching aim

1. Grasp the words and sentences: can, run fast, jump far, winner Can you run fast? Yes, I can./ No, I can’t.

2. Can use the knowledge to talk about ability and finish the task. 3. Train the pupils’ ability of speaking and listening.

1.Vocabulary: can, winner Phrase:run fast, jump far

四、Teaching process

Step 1: Warmer

1. Get two large pieces of paper and on one piece write “can” and on the other write “can’t”. 2. Now place the two pieces of paper on separate walls of the classroom.

3.Tell the students that you are going to ask them questions. The students have to answer by pointing to the answer that is correct for them and then saying in out loud. Step 2: Revision

1. Recite the text of Module 3 Unit 1. 2. Say the chant of last lesson.

Step 3: Presentation (Listen and say)

1. Play the cassette or read the dialogue. The children listen and follow in their books.

2. Play the cassette, pausing after each utterance for the children to point at the corresponding picture.

3. Play the cassette again. This time pause for the class to repeat each utterance. Encourage the

class to point to the pictures in their books.

4. Repeat this activity, asking individual students to repeat the utterances. Alternatively, divide the class into groups.

5. Repeat the words “can” and “can’t” again and again, explain to their meaning. Step 4: Practice

1. Write these questions on the board. I can run fast. I can jump far.

2. Now choose a competent student and ask, “ Can you run fast?” Say ‘yes’ and prompt the student to answer, ‘ Yes, I can .’

3. You may want to continue and ask, ‘Can you jump far?’ The student should respond with the exact location.

4. Ask other competent students some of the other questions on the list. Then put the students in pairs and have them ask and answer the questions. They can use their findings to make a graph if there is enough time. Step 5: Consolidation

Review the sentence again and again.
