Unit 1 Body language (Reading) (导学案) Studying aims:

1. Enable the students to understand body language.

2. Develop the students’ reading skills: skimming, scanning especially the skimming skill.

3. Enable the students to know the importance of body language and be aware of their body language in their daily life, meanwhile, develop good manners. Studying important and difficult points:

1.Let students get the detailed information about Debbie and Simon’s body language and their different effects.

2.Let students know there are both positive body language and negative body language.

Studying methods:

1.Individual work, pair work and group work. 2.Skimming, scanning and careful reading. 3.Task-based method and role-playing method. Studying procedures: Step 1 Lead-in Guessing game
