第五课时(Section B 1a-1d)

【学习目标】

1. 学习运用过去进行时谈论过去的事情或讲述过去的故事,掌握when和while引导的时间状语从句表达过去发生的动作。

2. 通过听说练习,帮助学生提高对故事中主要信息的提取能力以及对事件先后顺序的把握。

【学习重点】

★重点单词:realize(理解;领会;认识到).

★重点短语:get to(到达), walk by(路过), make one’s way(前往;费力地前进). ★重点句型:

3. 让学生读1c中的6个句子,理解每个句子所描述的事件。 4. 听第二遍录音,按事件发生的先后顺序给这6个句子排序。

5. 根据1b,1c的信息补全下列句子。

①When the school basketball competition started, Kate was still making her way to school. ②When Kate got to the bus stop, she realized that her bag was still at home. ③While she was running back home, she saw a dog by the side of the road and it was hurt. 活动二:结对活动。

2. 培养学生关注历史,热爱祖国,热爱和平的优良品质。

【学习重点】

★重点单词:passage(章节;段落), pupil(学生), completely(彻底地;完全地), shocked(惊愕的;受震惊的), silence(沉默;无声), recently(不久前;最近), terrorist(恐怖主义者;恐怖分子), date(日期;日子), tower(塔)
