Teaching aims of unit 5:

1. Grasp the main sentences: I like hamburgers/ hot dogs, etc. Have some French fries/ juice, etc. OK! Thank you. / No, thanks. Can I have some chicken/ Coke, please? Sure. Here you are. Thank you. You’re welcome. And get the students to use these sentences to communicate with each other.

2. Grasp the new words: cake, hamburger, hot dog, chicken, French fries, bread, water, milk, juice, tea, Coke, coffee.

3. Grasp the TPR activities in the part of “Let’s do”.

Try to say these phrases and respond the actions correctly. Teaching arrangement:

(1). Warm-up/Review

a. Sing a song: Old MacDonald

b. Daily oral practice. For example,

T: Good morning, Mike. Let’s go to school!

S1: Great!

S1: Good morning, John. Let’s go to school!

(2). Presentation

a. Shows the picture of a fast food, then introduce it.

b. T: I like hamburgers. What do you like? Hamburgers? Hot dogs? Chicken? Bread? Or French fries?

c. T: Have some French fries. (3). Practice

a. 教师拿出食物卡片，让学生读出单词并将图片卡贴在黑板上。请一位同学上讲台，教师说: A hot dog. 学生就从黑板上取下画有热狗的图片，然后指着说: This is a hot dog. I like hot dogs. 全班同学中凡是喜欢吃hot dog的，都可以举起手并用Me too!做出回应。
