? This is a photograph of our village.

1. photograph在口语中可以简略说为”photo”.

2. “of” 结构用于表达“….的一张照片”，表示无生命的名词的所有格，在其前面用of。 例： It is a photograph of my school. 不能说：My school’s photograph ? Capital of China 不能说：China’s capital ? Our village is in a valley. It is between two hills. The village is on a river.

1. 这三句话讲的是我们村庄的具体位置，用了三个介词短语：

① in a valley ② between two hills ③on a river

between: 在…之间 ， 其结构是:

between…. 在…；between …and … 例如： My house is between two buildings My village is between a hill and a river on: 靠近，临近

例如：My house is on the road.我的房子在公路旁边。

? My wife and I are walking along the banks of the river.

1. 这句话是一个现在进行时，后面有一个介词短语表示“方

向、位置”，这也是本课的学习重点。本课学习的仍然是现在进行时，所不同的是和现在进行时连用的是一些介词短短语，他们表示一些方向和位置。通常用来对where…提问的回答。

例如：Where is the boy swimming?

?The boy is swimming across the river.

2. 我和妻子，在英文要将I放在别人的后面。

例如：My father and I 我和我的爸爸

? It is is beside a park.

Beside=next to 在…旁边 It is next to a park.
