At the end of last summer my parents‘ house in Tunstall went up in flames. Several months on, we‘re still trying to find out exactly what happened, but my parents John and Carole were out when more than half the house was burned to the ground. What was left behind needed to be pulled down and most of the things that weren‘t actually destroyed were so smoke-damaged that they would have to be thrown away.
