Learn to know each other by exchanging your background information. 2. Familiarize yourself with the patterns of the textbook, the ways of instruction, and the requirements of the course. 3. Reading aloud the poems to practise your pronunciation, information and rhythm. 时间 安排 教学过程设计 Part II Dialogue Drills I.Sentence Patterns of How to Greet People Good morning. Good afternoon. Good evening. Hi! Hi, there! Hello! How are you doing? How are things? What’s up? Great! What about you? Not bad. How are you? Very well, thanks. How are you? 2. Sentence Pattern of how to make introductions How do you do? My name is… I don’t think we have met. May I introduce…? 4 periods Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. Hello! How do you do? No, I don’t believe we have… I’d like you to meet… Do you know…? 3. Model Dialogues Listen to the recording and read the dialogues, then try to act them out. Part III Situations I. Work out appropriate greetings and introductions,using the information given. Example ( Mr. Wang & your brother, Peter) Good morning, Mr. Wang. Do you know my brother,Peter? 2. Work out appropriate replies, using the information given. Example Question: Hello, Mr. Li. How are you? Reply: Hello, I’m very well, thanks. 3. Make up dialogues, using the information given.

Choose one of the topics to discuss within your group, and then give an oral report of your discussion. You may perform a short play to express your opinions. 3. Conversation Activity
