5月雅思口语考试P2新题精解 描述一个你做过的有薪工作

没有任何实际工作经验甚至实践经验的雅思学生党们，颤抖吧。这道题又是算计，基本本上考查的就是你临场吹嘘的能力了。所以，尽情的表演起来吧。

考虑到广大雅思学生党现状，这种话题基本就等价于问暑寒假或平时周末你从事的一份part time job or a temp job。所以，像waiter, tutor之常见类的，即使并没有亲身经历，相信也能描述得有模有样。

本着稍稍使自己的话题能stand out点的想法，构思了下，讲讲为自己老爸打工的故事，既能有其他part time工作的自食其力的收获，同时也能增加父子的感情。

2实例

I used to work as an office clerk in a small startup, and you know what, I got the payment from my dad.

Father and I never really got along well with each other since the beginning of my adolescence. He is always busy, absent from some occasions which meant a lot to me. I grew rebellious, finding my ideas and desires hard to be voiced out to my parents, especially my father. Silence was so often our best  language.

But after high school, there was a long summer vacation before I left home for college. Father and I had a very rare and big talk about my college life, and naturally it developed into a retrospection about our father-son relationship. And there, he made an offer of 2 months job in his company, and I accepted.

I never really knew what my father did to support the family before I worked there. The work place is small and the decoration is plain, he is the boss of 12 employees, including me. To put it curtly, they develop and sell APP games, and as for me, I’m the bug finder. In other words, I play the beta version of their games to find all the bugs and give my written review of it. It’s a hectic two-month work, and I never

got preferential treatment. All my indifference and slight towards this job at the very early stage was soon dispelled by several stern lectures from my boss dad in a workplace talk style. You can’t believe that I almost fall into love with this team and my job at the end, since everyone is workaholic and I got the rewards of some money and more importantly a sense of fulfilment. Dad was super hot when he buried himself in his beloved work, in which I felt a bond. Some of his sorry records of parenting became understandable, and I finally knew I made a too rash and biased judgment on him. I regretted I did that to my dad and I was grateful I made the choice to took that job offer, though I must confess i accepted it in order to prove his long-term neglect of me.

3思路分析

看完全篇答案，大概能知道，虽然job是主题，但成长与情感才是我想要像考官表达的。看到很多小伙伴的答案，紧紧围绕主题，那是严丝合缝一丝不苟，但是情感因素的内容太少，搞得一个你自己经历的然后要给他人分享的故事，变成了讲述与自己无关的事实。这是口语高分的大忌。

其实，回顾所有的雅思口语考题，无论人物，事件，地点，物体，都逃不出一个情感的内核。如果说雅思口语考试难在哪，主要两点，一点是detailed description（越具体，越变态the evil lies in details），另外一点，就是emotion expression（不管你是爱恨，还是客观的冷）。

最可怖的答案是弄成了说明文。

I am sure many teachers believe that there is no greater joy nor greater reward than to make a fundamental difference in someone’s life.

（关于书，关于工作和休息）I have to agree that being surrounded by books is heavenly.  I love to spend my day off at the library.  I used to volunteer at the library, but after a while it began to feel like work.  So I quit after about six months.  I like to be in the library free and unencumbered. I also like for my days off from work not to feel like work.
