一、说教材Analyzing teaching material
This unit is from “go for it” for students of grade 7. The topic of this unit is talking about recent past events. So this unit is very interesting. This is the first period of the whole unit. Students would be interested in it. 二、说学生Analysis of the students
Although students of grade 7 have learned certain amount of English words and sentence structures, they may feel difficult in learning new structures. At the same time, they are curious about new things. They are afraid in speaking English out and making mistakes in learning English. So in this part, students should be given more chance to practice their pronunciation, courage and speaking listening skills. 三、说教学目标Teaching aims
According to the teaching material and the fact of students, my teaching aims are following like these:
1. Knowledge and Ability Objects
In this period, students should grasp the spelling、 pronunciation of the new words and the new sentence structures 。 2. Process and Strategy Objects:
After this period, students can use the new words and new sentence structures to talk about recent past events.

3.Emotional Objects:
To help students establish the cooperative learning perspective. Students can tell the story of a wonderful weekend, set up the students to enjoy life, enjoy the beautiful nature of emotion

2) Practice students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. 六、说教具 teaching aids multi-media computer, PPT, a tape recorder The teaching syllabus says that it’s necessary for teachers to use modern teaching facilities. It’s of great help to increase the class density and improve our teaching result. It can also make the Ss reach a better understanding of the text by making the classes lively and interesting. At the same time, it arouses the Ss’ interest in learning English.
七、说教法与学法Teaching and study methods
As we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to cultivate students’abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use “Communicative” teaching method, “Audio-visual” teaching method and “Task-based” teaching method. That is to say, I’ll let the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the

dialogue. I’ll give the Ss some tasks and arrange five kinds of activities: talking, guessing games, watching CAI, acting out Section A and having a competition. STUDYING WAYS
1. Teach the Ss how to be successful language learners.

Learn new words in this period. Use computer to make flash-cards in order to let them keep the new words and the phrases.

Present the Past Simple Tense, then let Ss find out the difference between the irregular verbs and the regular verbs.
