Christine and Ryan are good friends. They both live on a farm on an island near Ireland. One morning, Ryan came to Christine's house. “Christine, let's go to the beach.” They went to the beach to look for shells (贝壳) and other beautiful things. Suddenly Christine shouted, “Look! What was the most dangerous engineering project? It was the Panama Canal (巴拿马运河). It is in Central America and is 50 miles long. It lets ships pass between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
