江恩线在X轴上建立时间，在Y轴上建立价格，江恩线的符号是“TxP”，T为时间，P为价格。

江恩线由时间单位和价格单位定义价格运动，每条江恩线由时间和价格的关系所决定。从图上各个明显的顶点和底点画出江恩线，他们彼此互相交叉，构成江恩线之间的关系。它们不仅能确定何时价格会反转，而且能够指出将反转到何种价位，构成时间与价格的美妙和谐。
