______ Not being a rich man himself, he helped the poor generously. ______ The children went into the classroom, talking and laughing. ______ His parents died in the war, leaving him an orphan. 三、学习v-ing形式作状语的用法时,需要注意以下要点:

1）与过去分词作状语的区别: 一般来说,v-ing形式表示____________; 过去分词表示被动、完成。

4） v-ing形式(短语)的功能有时相当于一个状语从句。根据这个性质,在使用v-ing形式作状语时，前面可以加上连词。切记:不要在前面或后面的句子前用连词连接。

5) having done 表示动作发生在主句谓语动作之____; doing 表示动作和主语的谓语动作__________。
