Norman Bethune was a Canadian doctor. He was born on March 3rd, 1890, in a small
town of Canada. He entered University of Toronto and received his medical degree in 1916.
Personal information
After graduation Bethune moved to Montreal and gave free medical care to help poor people there. Bethune also set up a free art school for children. Bethune left for China in 1938. He worked selflessly as a doctor and saved many Chinese soldiers. Dr. Bethune died from blood poisoning in 1939 and was buried in Shijiazhuang.
