We were having sports on the playground when Lily fell down and hurt her leg badly. We were all worried about her. One of the boys carried her on the back, with the help of some others, to the clinic immediately. It turned out that her right leg was broken and she had to stay in the hospital. The following days, we went to visit her with flowers and fruit. Seeing her lying in bed with leg wrapped in bandages, we felt sorry for her and hoped that she would recover soon. Last week, when we heard that she returned home, we brought her our notes and helped her make up for the classes she missed. She was deeply moved.

It is our friendship that comforts and cheers us up when we are in trouble.

In the picture, a boy is trying to reach tomorrow’s apples, which are hard to get, and is paying no attention to today’s apples nearby. It tells us that some people in our society never cherish today, and only expect tomorrow.

Actually, the boy gives up the apples he can easily reach, which means he may get nothing in the end. In our life, we shouldn’t put off all things till tomorrow, because we can not control everything in the future and we may have a lot to do then. Without today’s efforts, there will be nothing good for tomorrow. Remember that time waits for no one. Therefore, treasure every moment you have. There is a saying “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a present! That’s why it’s called the present!” I am not saying that planning for the future is bad, but we ought to realize that today should always be the first thing to focus on. Cherish today, for today is the day that we are given the gift of life. Only if we take advantage
